What makes Hope For Healing unique from other practices?

We are unique from other medical practices because we seek to co-create realistic, comprehensive care plans through a therapeutic partnership between you and our care team. Our goal is to not only restore any symptoms of imbalance and dysfunction through root-cause identification, but set you up for vibrant, optimal health. Our care paths are designed in a sequence of Lifestyle | Genetics | Medical, based on the fact that health outcomes are optimized by an equal balance of lifestyle and medical interventions based on each person’s unique genetic makeup. The mission of our team is to provide care to those who are seeking a holistic, preventative, evidence-based, and collaborative approach to health and wellness.

Do you accept insurance?

No, we do not accept insurance. Because we are a cash-based practice, our medical providers have the freedom to make recommendations for testing, appointments, etc. that they believe are medically necessary and effective. Medical providers who practice within an insurance-model are limited to ordering tests and making recommendations that an insurance company approves. Ultimately, we believe that an insurance-based model prohibits your medical provider from making recommendations and providing care that is the most efficient and effective in addressing the cause of symptoms and preventing symptoms of imbalance or dysfunction.

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional medicine is a holistic approach to health and wellness. Conventional medicine looks at the various systems of the body as isolated. Functional medicine looks at the body as a whole. Rather than recommending

Can the providers at Hope for Healing be considered my primary care provider (PCP)?

Yes, your medical provider at Hope for Healing may be considered your primary care provider. We offer primary care with a functional medicine approach for both adult and pediatric patients.

Furthermore, we also work with patients who have a primary care provider who is not a part of the Hope for Healing team. In these instances, we refer these patients to their primary care provider for sick visits and routine check-ups as needed.

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance or you will incur a cancellation fee of $50.

How do I schedule an appointment?

For new patients, we have found it’s best to begin your care with us by scheduling a 15-minute Welcome Call with one of our health coaches. We want to answer all of your questions, share how we like to partner with our patients, and confirm we are indeed the right practice for you. During this call, we will determine which care is the best fit for you.

For existing patients, the best way to schedule an appointment is through the patient portal.

Do you offer telemedicine consultations?

We offer the option to have your appointment virtually for the majority of your care. However, we require you to have your initial medical appointment in person so that your medical provider can complete a comprehensive physical exam. After the initial medical visit, most of your follow-ups can take place virtually. Please note that the frequency in which you need to be seen in person will be determined by your medical provider. We require an in-person visit annually at minimum.

Why does functional health care cost more than standard medical care?

Functional Medicine is an investment emotionally, financially, and physically. Our hope is that your investment in a root-cause approach will save you time and money down the line and provide you with the care you are looking for.

Moreover, because we are a cash-based practice, our rates reflect both the time it takes for your provider to adequately prepare to see you (history review, etc.) and the time your provider spends with you during an appointment.

We believe that it’s important to recognize the value of services that are rendered when determining if the out-of-pockets expenses are worthwhile. Just because something is covered does not make it cheaper. In fact, our average autoimmune patient saves over tens of thousands of dollars each year in medical expenses utilizing functional health care over pharmaceutical management. It’s also important to note that functional health care is both reactive and preventative, causing your healthcare expenses to cost less over time versus the allopathic model which gets more and more expensive over time (more testing, more medications, more ER visits).

What ages do you treat?

We treat patients from womb to tomb. We work with newborns, pediatric patients and adults who are in excellent health and pediatric and adult patients who may have a handful of symptoms to individuals who have had a chronic, complex illness for an extended period of time.

Can I resume my activities/work after my drip?

Generally, most people can resume their daily activities. Depending on what is in the drip (example: high magnesium, glutathione, etc.), you could feel tired and ready to relax, but many people say they feel their best after getting a drip.

Which form of B12 do you use?

We use Hydroxocobalamin to allow for maximum absorption, providing you with the best outcome possible.

When are drips most effective? Is it before, during or after an illness, stress or events?

All of the above! We recommend drips to help you prepare and replenish your body from all of the activities you put it through, due to your busy and stressful lives. The vitamins and minerals in our drips allow your body to work more efficiently and effectively during your event as well as replenish it afterwards for a speedy recovery. If you are feeling under the weather, then vitamins and minerals are an excellent way to help your body recover quicker in order to get you back to your active life.

Does it hurt?

Hope for Healing cares immensely about our patients’ wellness and comfort. We have an amazing team of registered nurses (RN), nurse practitioners (NP), and physicians (MD). Most of our infusion specialists are experienced RNs who have worked in hospitals, and therefore, have developed the skills necessary to provide high quality service. We use small, delicate needles and a localized numbing agent (upon request) to provide a relatively pain-free experience. Additionally, if we have difficulty finding a vein, we have an ultrasound to help guide the RN. In any event, everyone’s pain threshold is different. While most find it painless, others may feel brief discomfort upon needle insertion. Generally, patients find the infusion itself quite relaxing.

What is an IV?

IV is short for intravenous (in the vein). We provide IVs to give your body the vitamins and minerals that it needs more efficiently than any other method. Yes, there is a small poke with a small needle, but once the vein is accessed, the needle comes out and the plastic catheter is left in its place.

What is IV Therapy?

IV therapy is a method of treatment that Hope for Healing uses to give your body the vitamins and minerals that it needs to prepare and replenish your body, allowing it to work at its maximum capacity. In today’s world, many people are missing some key nutrients leading to fatigue, muscle aches, illness, anxiety, depression, stress, and many other ailments. By receiving IV therapy, you will absorb 100% of the nutrients that are in your drip.

Is IV Therapy safe?

Yes! Instead of the harsh chemicals that are in medications, IV therapy provides your body with the natural vitamins and minerals that it needs. All of our ingredients are carefully selected by our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Paula Kruppstadt, to ensure that you are receiving nutrients that are without parabens and phthalates and are tested thoroughly. Additionally, the form of nutrients that we give is always the most bioavailable form so that your body is able to readily absorb the nutrients without any of it being wasted. Our nursing staff is highly trained and experienced, which allows you to have the most comfortable experience possible.

Are there any side effects?

Generally, side effects are minimal or non-existent. Due to the placement of your IV, you may have some discomfort, bruising, redness, itching, inflammation or redness which can last anywhere from a few minutes to several days. Due to the ingredients in your drip, you may taste the vitamins and you may feel cold, however, we have snacks and blankets to help with these. True allergic reactions are extremely rare, however, if you experience throat swelling, pruritic body rash, dangerously low blood pressure, or symptoms associated with anaphylaxis following administration of an injection, visit your nearest emergency department. If you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients — please avoid it!

What ailments are addressed by IV therapy?

We have a “cocktail” for nearly any condition, but we also recommend it for maintaining your overall health. We have specific drips for:

  • Overall Wellness
  • Allergy Symptoms
  • Migraines
  • Improving Your Skin And Promoting Anti-Aging Effects
  • Hydration
  • Fatigue
  • Weight Loss
  • Improving Your Mental Health And Focus
  • Increase Your Libido
  • Rejuvenate After Traveling And Stress
  • Detox
  • Pre-Workout
  • Recovering From A Recent Illness
  • Chronic Infections
Can you create a specific IV drip based on my individual needs?

Yes! While we do have specific drips that our medical team has assembled based on specific problems, you do have the opportunity to create your own based on your needs and requests.

Do you offer other treatments besides the IV drips?

Yes, we offer IM injections (intramuscular injection), IV pushes (less fluid than a drip and administered in about 10 minutes), and ozone therapy as functional medicine treatments.

What shots do you offer?

At this time, we offer B12, CoQ10, B Complex (B1,B2, B3, B5, and B6) and lipo vitality shots. For more detail on each of these individual boosters, please see our common boosters page.

How should I prepare for my IV therapy appointment?

You should drink plenty of fluids and eat a well-balanced meal. By doing these two things, you greatly increase your chance of having a pleasant and painless experience.

How long will the IV drip take?

It can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. However, if your body is more sensitive, then we can slow the drip down to a speed that will make you feel comfortable.

What Is Ozone Therapy?

High level:

  • Ozone Therapy is a form of treatment that uses an energized form of oxygen that contains three atoms of oxygen rather than the two atoms we normally breathe. Though ozone is considered a pollutant in the atmosphere, medical ozone is used for a variety of health benefits: (1) increasing oxygen delivery to the cells; (2) increasing oxygen utilization; (3) stimulating cytokine function; (4) increasing nitric oxide production; (5) increases heme oxygenase-I; (6) stimulates detoxification; (7) stimulates antioxidant enzymes; and (8) directly combats microbes (bacteria, viruses, fungi). There are different forms of treatment that come in a variety of insufflations and systemic treatments.

Low level:

  • Ozone Therapy is a form of treatment that uses an energized form of oxygen that contains three atoms of oxygen rather than the two atoms we normally breathe. Though ozone is considered a pollutant in the atmosphere, medical ozone is used for a variety of health benefits. Medical ozone strengthens the immune system, stimulates white blood cells, preventing infections and immune system deficiencies by destroying fungi, bacteria, and viruses.
Why Use Ozone?

While we all have enough oxygen to live, many of us are lacking an optimal amount to live the healthiest life that we can. Many infections and diseases occur because our body’s lack of oxygen gives these bacteria and viruses, etc an environment to thrive in. For example, the growth of cancer cells is a fermentation of sugar process, which can only be initiated by the absence of oxygen. Therefore, the more oxygen you have in your body, the harder it is for cancer to grow. Additionally, as a lack of oxygen ultimately leads to cell death, it causes mental decrease, pain, and overall slower recovery. Ozone therapy removes toxins in the body, boosts the metabolism naturally, tightens and firms the skin by breaking down cellulite, burning fat, and excess sugar. It also has anti-aging effects, repairs brain tissue, and joint pain.

Conditions Ozone May Benefit:

  • Macular degeneration
  • Arthritis
  • Viral diseases
  • Lyme disease, Bartonella, Babesia
  • Pain relief
  • Healthier skin
  • Repairs stem cells
  • Chronic Hepatitis, fatty liver disease
  • Respiratory disorders

  • Eat a protein-containing meal.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Arrive 15 minutes early if it’s your first appointment to ensure that all necessary forms are filled out.

  • You may feel a little fatigued after the treatment but this should resolve by the end of the day.
  • May feel hungry, we have kind bars to help with this
  • This treatment will pull out toxins therefore detox symptoms may occur.

What is the process of O3UV Treatment

  • Once someone arrives for treatment, we will obtain a set of vital signs to ensure that they can safely have O3UV Treatment.
  • Once an IV is placed then a small amount of blood will be obtained and placed into a bag that also contains saline in it.
  • Ozone will then be placed into the blood/saline mixture.
  • When the blood returns to your body, it travels thru a ultraviolet light giving the red blood cells that are traveling thru it more energy to help kill any bacteria or viruses that you may have.

What is the process of nasal/ear insufflation

  • Ozone is pulled into a syringe using an ozone generator in the office.
  • If you are doing ear insufflation, olive oil is placed in your ear to act as a barrier for your tympanic membrane.
