Shenandoah is a city in the United States, located in Montgomery County. At the time of the 2010 census, the population was 2,134. David Vetter, the renowned “child in the plastic bubble,” was born and raised in Shenandoah. In 1986, the city council renamed Tamina School Road to David Memorial Drive in honor of Vetter.
A city council made up of a mayor and five at-large council members governs Shenandoah on a municipal level. Ritch Wheeler is the current mayor. Ron Raymaker, Ted Fletcher, Dean Gristy, Charlie Bradt, and Michael McLeod are members of the council.
